Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast, who was as a captain and a participant for the Fierce Five team in 2012 and the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic Gymnastics team. Aly Raisman is one of the gymnasts from the United USA who took gold in the 2012 Olympics. In 2012, she became one of the few American athlete to win the highest number of medals at the Olympics. The 2016 Olympics saw her win gold in the team competition, which earned both she and Gabby the honor as the first Americans ever to have consecutive team golds. She also won silvers in individual all around and for floor work. In between the two Olympics she had taken off from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. Additionally she was a part of two gold medal-winning American gymnastics squads. Her favorite event is the floor exercise. She started learning gymnastics when she was two years older. Aly is an active member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in memory her grandmother, who died from cancer. She plans to pursue the field of fashion, and would like to expand her signature line of leotards and socks later on. The book she is working on is called Fierce to be published at the end of this year.
